Edward Ted Wright is a 4th generation well driller. Edward’s great grandfather, John, began drilling wells, in Mount Forest Ontario, in the early 1800’s with a steam engine.
John and his son Dalton made their own wooden hand pumps. When John retired, Edward’s grandpa Dalton took over. Dalton used a gas and wooden drilling machine. Later, Dalton, later trained his son Dalt with a gas cable tool machine, often called a pounder.
Now, we drill with a diesel powered rotary machine.
